    Default worried

My boyfriend has been feeling ill the last couple of days- achy, tired, bloated. I have been with him continuously since saturday when it started.
Last night he woke up and vomited , felt better and went back to sleep, he didnt have diarrhea and went to work this morning.
I spent the whole of the night awake worried that i would vomit too because i'd kissed him 5 hours before he vomited.
It's been 14 hours since he vomited. Now i'm scared to eat and sleep tonight incase i get it tonight.

Sounds more like a flu than a sv*. That sounds really odd. No matter what, sv*s aren't contagious through saliva. I was never convinced of this, but I can assure you that it's true at this point. Last year my oldest was feeling sickish and was sharing his cup of water with my youngest. He didn't want the rest of his cookie and gave it to my youngest who finished it (the sick one even went to the extreme of LICKING OFF the icing before my little one ate it). Anyway, an hour or so later the v*ing started. I was convinced that we were all doomed. Thankfully nobody else caught it! I found out later that it was going around his classroom so it was definitely a bug, but thankfully it convinced me that it doesn't spread through saliva! You're ok!

You'd only be able to get it by kissing him AFTER he vomited. And as Syrup said, it doesn't sound like an SV at all. Sounds more like the flu, and if that is the case, it could have been just about anything that made him vomit. Post nasal drip is a big contender. Besides, you had said he'd been feeling ill for a few days. The SV doesn't work that way. You just get sick, there is none of this feeling terrible for 3 days and THEN getting sick. So all in all, I don't think you have anything to worry about. But to help put you at ease, just up your hand sanitation and get lost in your favorite TV show or movie. Helps ease the mind
