    Default Bad anxious day

Does anyone else just get overall heightened anxiety during the winter? Here in Oregon the rain just seems to depress the hell out of me. As soon as September/October come around it's like a raincloud just sits over my head and makes me obsess over the fear, depressed, and overall not care about anything but being afraid. I assumed it was seasonally affected depression, but I have no idea. Whatever it is, I don't like it. Today's been an anxious day to say in the least. Woke up from a nap, my insides were all sorts of irritable, had a BM and thought I would start feeling better but now I'm just anxious from what I assume is indigestion and gas. I'm just uncomfortable all around

I'm in Oregon as well. Rain rain rain. But yes I definitely have heightened anxiety during the late autumn and winter. I am hyper sensitive about any feeling I have in my body. Watching everyone else around me making sure they're not feeling ill. I finally relax some went spring comes around. Oregon is a tough state for SAD. We're all vitamin D starved.

My wife and I moved to Bend last year (I'm back in mcminnville now) and my anxiety was so much lower. Bend gets 2 weeks less per year of sunshine than San Diego. I miss it so much right now. Half of my anxiety is probably from not having her to turn to for comfort anymore. It just sucks. Not quite sure how to deal with it.

Ugh it's hard without support. I'm sorry you're going through this right now. It's really difficult to just relax and enjoy yourself when your phobia is constantly running through your head. :/ Just know there are plenty of us out here who can totally empathize with what you are going through. (I'm down in Southern Oregon, so we have about a month less rain)

Yes, I feel that way too when it's cloudy, rainy, or winter, especially when I have to get up early to go to work. I'm in CT and we don't get nearly enough sun for me. And winters suck!! I often wondered how people cope in areas that are very cloudy or rainy, like where you are and in the UK. Definitely take Vitamin D supplements. Like 2000mg every day. That does help me. Wish I could help you more...take care.
