I'm starting to get really nervous and anxious about this. There have been a couple of people at work that have gotten it so far, but they both said that it only gave them d*, even though one caught it from his daughter who was v*ing and the other caught it from him. A friend of mine that I'm on the phone with at the moment says that she's wondering if maybe she caught a sv* because she's been n* and v*'ed. So naturally my curiosity peaked and I googled it. The internet is saying it's some crazy outbreak this year from some strain in Australia that made its way to the US. I really do not want to catch it, which reminded me that the last two days at work I've been so busy running back and forth that I haven't been washing my hands as much as normal/as much as I should be and I do eat at work, which I may have forgotten to wash beforehand. I'm getting really worried about catching it from someone at work, especially since I touch the same counters that customers who could be infected are touching. I know that I can start bulking up on the handwashing from here on out, but I'm still nervous that I could've picked up the bacteria in the last two days that I haven't been washing very frequently. Any advice or words of wisdom on the subject? I'm getting more and more anxious the more I even type about it. I saw an article online from NBC News that said something about handwashing not being enough because Norovirus is so strong and resistant. I'm about to drive myself crazy.
Side question: I found it interesting that the guys at work caught it from someone who was v*ing but they both only had really bad d* after catching it. Are adults more susceptible to the d* and less susceptible to the v*ing? My mom always says that it's not particularly "normal" for adults to v* and I worry about it more than I should since I'm an adult.
