Telling the fear to bloody f* off
This is something that has worked for me most of today.
When I feel the fear I take the piss out of it. I say to my self for example if the fear is 'you should call your friend and say not to come incase they are ill or you get ill when they are here as you feel off today' (thats something I encounterd today)
I say to it - so you want me to cancell the plans and lay in bed and feel sorry for myself like a 5 year old and be all poorly and sad? No! I take the piss untill I realise that that was the stupidest thing I ever heard.
It worked for me quite nicely today and it is something im gionna hold out on. I still feel nervous abuot my friend coming over incase I get ill when she is here as im tired today and feel a little nauseous but I think thats from laptops all day and nervs.
I also make 2 of me. One is bigger and thats the old me, the not emet one and then theres the smaller me who is emet. The bigger me (non emet) tells the smaller (emet) me when it is panicing that it should calm down because the outcome of the situation will be the same regardless weather I panic or not.
I was wondering if anyone wanted to try this method (the first one) and give me feedback. Please be careful if u try it as I do not mean you should call yourself stupid and idiot and dumb, but take the piss from the fearful though and why it is soooooo unreasonable unti;l you realise that it actually is really pointless.
