A couple of days back I went on a long distance coach journey from my home area back up to university. I was sat in the front row of seats and at one of the stops, I witnessed a young boy who was getting off the coach with his family throwing up on the pavement several times. It then turned out that the passenger had also thrown up down the aisle in the middle of the coach. I didn't feel too worried about this and felt sorry for the passenger who had been unwell. I did also witness a passenger throwing up during a bus journey a few months back. They were sat directly in front of me and they suddenly did it out of nowhere. I didn't particularly feel anxious about this either However I would be interested to find out, are either of these examples of situations which could make people suffering from emetophobia feel anxious? For example could witnessing a situation like this or actually becoming ill yourself during a journey result in making you become anxious about using public transport?
