Hey everybody!

We have a friend who is really sick tonight and his wife needs to take him to the hospital because he's diabetic and they are worried that his sugar levels will drop too far. My husband said he'd go over to their house and stay with their baby while she took him to the hospital (he woudn't let me go because the weather is pretty bad out). I am panicking because my rational, empathetic side understands that we are their only friends in the area and they have no one else to help them. However, I really just want to run out to a hotel room and not see my husband for a few days until I can be sure he doesn't have anything. I told him not to touch ANYTHING or use the bathroom and he promised he wouldn't.

Here's the thing. The guy has been dealing with the nausea since Saturday (today is Tuesday) and it went away/got better for a few days and then hit him even harder today. This doesn't sound like a virus to me, but I can't ever be too sure where v* is concerned.

I'm not really sure what I'm asking...just for some solace!
