So my husband is leaving on Sunday and will be gone for 2 weeks (home on weekends). My friend told me that 9 kids were absent from my daughters class last week with "the flu". I immediately thought stomach flu. Thankfully she was wrong, and it turns out it's just a nasty cold/cough, which my daughter now has. Anyway, I asked the teacher today if there is a stomach virus going around right now, and she said no, not that she knows of...just this cold. I asked her to let me know if anything stomach-y comes up over the next 2 weeks, and she said she would for sure. She said she's been on her own before with 3 v*'ing kids while her DH was away and it was NOT fun, so she totally gets why I want a heads up.

My question - do you think it's very likely that she'll catch a sv anyway in the next 2 weeks even though it's not going around right now? I'm going to send her to school, but I'm SCARED. She hasn't had one yet this year, so she's prone....since she gets it every year, usually twice, ugh.
