There was a post by a lady in another thread who hasn't v* in 50 years, so it's quite doable. As for the immune system, no, it won't really make a difference. sv* affect everyone equally, the only difference is that someone very healthy will probably get better faster, whereas someone with a poor immune system could get more severely ill as they are already weak, putting them at risk of complications. But it won't prevent someone healthy from catching it and having v* and/or d*.
My tricks for calming down are reading (any kind of reading material will do) and putting pressure on nausea relief pressure points. Also, oddly enough, writing on this forum helps, because I can be rational when dealing with the fears of others, even when I know I am being irrational about mine, and it calms me to reassure others. That will usually get me through the worse when I feel nauseous and I am really afraid of v*. There is no need to be paranoid, educate yourself on the real risks so you'll know what really presents a risk of infection or not, instead of worrying for nothing. For example, if someone tells you they have been ill, the virus isn't going to jump on you and make you sick, so there's no need to worry. Wash your hands before eating, and don't put your hands on your face/mouth unless you washed them. Learn how to wash them properly, and you'll be fine.
