Default Panicky and hiding from possibly infected partner.

    Hi!

I'm new to this forum and I'd appreciate some hand holding and advice. I've been an emetophobe since I can remember to the point that if someone is s* I will not go near them for at least 48 hrs. This afternoon my partner was s* at work twice and then again at home. I heard everything and it was awful .

I'm now sleeping on the sofa tonight and i've bleached my hands and any door handles/toilet he has touched. I'm just so scared of anybody else in the household catching it or me catching it

You are doing the right thing. Keep your hygiene up, and its good that you cleaned. As long as you don't put your fingers in your mouth and are careful with cleaning you should be just fine!
If you try and tell me a phobia is unreal. I dare you to live a day, and feel what I have to feel.

    Thankyou

He's asleep I think and I've told him to keep washing his hands after every toilet trip. He reckons it was food poisoning but he ate chicken 24 hours ago... 😞

Could be. But good job on telling him to wash his hands good. Its always a good idea to remind others of proper hygiene techniques!

Do not bleach your hands, you have good bacteria on your skin that you need to prevent infections and bleaching kills them. Seriously, regular soap is fine just scrub for 20 seconds. Other that that, bleach the bathroom he was sick in and wash the bedding and his clothes with hot water.
