Acid Reflux

Hello, I was very unfortunate to be diagnosed with Acid Reflux and heartburn a couple days ago, and even more unfortunate to have nausea as a symptom of it. I was reading online and some sites said that you can v* from this and I am freaking out because I have to take medicine for 2 weeks and I don't want to throw up if it's true. Is v* a common symptom for acid reflux and heartburn? If so, what do I do to stop myself from throwing up?

If it is very severe you can get sick from it, but 80 percent of people don't. Most just have the burning and some nausea. I get it all the time and I haven't gotten sick from it ever. I'm assuming the meds you're taking are some sort of antacid. Those won't make you sick. I take them every night (doctor told me to).

That's a relief, it used to be mild to severe nausea in the beginning but it seems to be dulling down now, and yes, I am taking Prilosec OTC

Lots of people get acid reflux, but in SEVERE cases do people V. The meds they give you will be safe and will help you.

I've had reflux on and off for 10 years, never v* from it. Sometimes I have mild n* with it but I'm used to it so it doesn't really bother me anymore since I know what it is.
