Default are we allowed to ask this?

if not please remove it or ask me to. Just wondering if most here are from the UK? I know a lot of people have mentioned emet is more common over in the UK and I am just interested in knowing how true that really is. I am from Indiana. Just recently moved here.

Most on IES are from USA. Emet is common here too. I think because Britain is an island, people are always passing around vomit viruses there like it's a big daycare. Michigan is the same way (although not an island, but almost). Doug

Hi there, I'm from UK! City of Bath

I actually spoke to someone on here once who lived only 10 minutes away from me! Crazy small world.

Yeah, I’d say that while there is a very good mix of different nationalities here, I’d say the majority are in the US. But, compared to most forums, I think IES is very diverse. Bringing the world together, emetophobia!

Is norovirus more prevalent in the UK? That surprises me. Figured that it would be an equal-opportunity offender - if the weather is nice, it's not a big deal, when the weather sucks, it's more common.

Lol @ the UK being like a big daycare..... I live in London, and, yeah, hear about viruses seasonally like everyone else. Winter is always the worst - the news starts to pick up on it in Autumn when hospitals start closing wards to try and contain it, they will report if it is a 'slow news day'.... I've only had noro once and that was last December, about 2 weeks before Christmas... I'm no more nervous in Winter than any other time, it's my favourite season - I shall keep up my good hygiene and hand washing and, fingers crossed, avoid it this year!!
