    Default Am I over reacting?

Hey people, this is my first post on here I've had this phobia for as long as I can remember and I'm not really sure how it started, I have a daughter and when I picked her up from nursery, to my horror I saw the dreaded notice of a SV going round, I touched things such as door handles and the buzzer and before I got a chance to wash my hands I touched my ear phones, then I forgot about this and later on in the evening I was chewing on my earphones without thinking! Do you guys think I'll be infected? Or am I over reacting? I posted this on the private forums but figured I'd get more response on the general discussion?

Hello this is also my first on here i found this site today. I also have had this for as long as i can remember and feel exactly the way you do. My eldest daughter has a tummy bug now and instead of being a caring mother i have locked myself and my youngest in the bedroom for the whole day to avoid catching it. I have antibac my hands so much today they hurt in fear of touching where she has. I have googled all day about how to catch this and it says as long as they havnt vomited near where you are you should be ok ive constantly washed my hands after checking in on her. The night she caught it me her and the youngest shared a desert, spoon also and so far all seems ok touch wood. I'm sure you will be fine but i know where you are coming from check in to let me no you are still fine xxx

It's nice to know there is someone else out there feeling the same as me! I hope you and your younger daughter don't catch it, and hopefully your eldest makes a speedy recovery! I am fine so far no symptoms at all however I read that it can take 12-48 hours 'incubation' so next couple of days will be nervy xxx

I am sure you will be okay. The "waiting game" is always very stressful for me as well. :/ I just try to take extra caution. Have you tried vitamins? I take Vitamin C. I hear other ''techniques'' that are supposed to help. Also, I think places like that would at least sanitize?

Pinki1983 - I am very sorry to see that. I hope that everything will go okay for the both of you.
