    Default Acid Reflux - Rollercoasters?

So this summer is packed with fun. I'm going to Universal Studios Orlando for spring break, going to South Carolina's Carowinds and Tennessee's Dollywood over the summer (Maybe twice). I was diagnosed with reflux in maybe september/october so I don't know how roller coasters will affect it. Roller coasters are my absolute favorite thing when it comes to thrill and for me to not be able to go on it will crush me. I'm not to worried about the actual reflux part, just about it it will make me vomit/affect my stomach differently.

Well when was the last time you were on a roller coaster? My guess is that you suffered from reflux before you were diagnosed (sometime years before diagnosis) and you've been on a roller coaster while having it just not knowing. So I am going to say you will be just fine! Congrats to you for doing such a thrilling thing! I have a love/hate relationship with roller coasters lol!

Yes, I was diagnosed after the last time I went on a roller coaster. I may not even have reflux anymore, just Anxiety. I really wanted to make sure because Carowinds is opening a new Rollercoaster that has a 325 foot drop... When I heard about it was in tears of joy.

I assume you take medicine for it then? It won't be any different than the last time you rode one. If you feel nervous about it take some dramamine (or something similar). I always take some before I ride and I'm fine. I also get bad acid reflux, but if anything it is the greasy amusement park food that triggers that, not the rides lol You'll be just fine.
Don't let the anxiety take away something you enjoy
