I'm not taking Lexapro, I'm on Zoloft. If I miss a dose, the withdrawal is usually unpleasant to be honest. No nausea or anything, but I always have these "brain zaps" (hard sensation to explain, but if you miss a dose of an antidepressant, you're likely to experience this) and they're unsettling for the most part. Taking a dose again is fine, it doesn't restart the process and there are no weird side effects, at least for me. I can't speak to Lexapro, and everyone reacts differently to medications as well.
