Does it work?

My 1 year old has had a BAD cold for almost a week now. For some reason yesterday, she started v*'ing too.....she v*d 3 times and then heaved 3 separate times as well but her tummy was empty by then. We took her to the Dr because the fever has been going on so long. He determined most likely she had a cold, then caught another bug....or that this was just her body's way of clearing the bug from her system. Either way, he gave her a Zofran. He then wrote us a prescription for it, so we can use it for our other two girls when they get an sv.

Does Zofran make the v'ing stop?

Yeah, it's an anti emetic.

It's a BEAUTIFUL thing. But don't overuse it, your body can build up a tolerance to it and make it less effective. Or in this case, don't give it to your kids every time they say they have a stomach ache, because eventually they'll actually need to throw up, and the Zofran won't be any good.
