How do u edit ur avatar? (I can't seem to undo the "do not use avatar" option). Also, there isn't an option to upload a profile pic. Any suggestions?

Hi there, welcome!

I'm sure somebody will correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you have to have at least 10 posts under your belt before you can change your avatar, then you'll see the option to Upload an avatar or profile pic next to the "Do not use avatar" option, it just magically appears when you have enough posts (about 10 or 15 if I remember correctly). I had exactly the same problem when I first joined, couldn't work out how to change my profile picture but like I say, once you've made a few more posts you should see the option appear and you'll be able to upload your own picture

I'm sure one of the more long standing members here might be able to clarify the exact rule, but you've got two posts under your belt already, whatever the exact number of posts is, you're already well on your way there
