Default What is going on with me??

Sorry to be posting another thread about this the same week....Monday night/tues I think I had some sort of sv I caught from my brother which resulted in SEVERE nausea and 2 quick rounds of watery d. My period was over a week late too. By Wednesday night I was feeling a lot better and even had a normal poop. Then yesterday (Thursday) I woke up with d and nausea again. A couple hours later, after being over a week late, my period came and I've been having the expected terrible cramps. But I've also been having watery d* and hours of terrible nausea at a time. It's weird, because I do get random phases of feeling okay in between- in fact, I even had a big appetite after the nausea went away last night as well as a normal poop. Now, I don't feel nausea, but I had terrible watery d, which never happens to me unless I'm sick. I'm expecting to feel nausea later in the day, which is what happened yesterday...

Im worried and frustrated and cant figure out whether this is period related nausea and d or still lingering from possible sv. I just want to feel normal and go back to having a strong stomach and normal bms. I don't know why this is making me so depressed but it is.

Another person talked about similar symptoms earlier in the forum I believe. Sounds like an illness my sister had as well. She had about a week of watery diarrhea and occasional nausea, but never v*. The health line here told her to keep up electrolytes with Gatorade or something. She was adviced not to take an anti-diarrheal. She too was on and off, and tried to return to work but needed an extra two days for the diarrhea to finish up. Sounds like this slight bug she had. My other family members didn't catch it and she was better quickly. Just think of it as getting the yuck out and getting rest because it sounds like you're in the home stretch! Doesn't hurt to consult medical advice though, because the risk of dehydration and electrolye imbalance.
