    Default undercooked porkchops help!

So, I made pork chops for dinner in my crock pot.....and I, for some reason, thought the temp only had to be 160, but its 170 for pork. ..long story short, I ate them and fed them to my daughter at only 160degrees. Ugh are we going to get good poisoning?

"For safety, the USDA recommends cooking ground pork patties and ground pork mixtures such as meat loaf to 160 °F. Cook all organ and variety meats (such as heart, kidney, liver, tongue, and chitterlings) to 160 °F. Cook all raw pork steaks, chops, and roasts to a minimum internal temperature of 145 °F as measured with a food thermometer before removing meat from the heat source." That's what I found online so you should be fine

The USDA actually changed the temp. for pork about a year ago to 145. You are totally safe!

Yeah the thermometers always list much higher temps than what is necessary I've noticed that on all our thermometer guidelines too!

I always cook my pork to 145 so it doesn't get dry - the pork will still cook even after it is out of the oven/off the pan. You are all fine!
