Default Panicking husband has high fever

He has a temp of 101.7 but his only symptoms are hot/cold chills and feeling tired. He is acting okay considering how high the fever is but it's freaking me out that he doesn't have distinct respiratory or gastro symptoms. All he said was this morning his throat felt a little raw but that it doesn't hurt anymore.

I'm panicking that he's gonna develop nausea or v, or that it's a gastro bug with the stomach symptoms starting late. And of course it's mostly for selfish reasons- I'm scared I'm gonna get sick now. Ever since he texted 5 hrs ago saying he was feeling sick I started feeling my face and head get hot and tingly. It's all in my head, right? And he doesn't have a stomach thing, right?

Any encouragement is much appreciated. Thanks guys

That's not a high fever. Seriously, it's not really considered 'high' until it's over 102. That's a simple fever that could go with a mild virus like a cold. He's not going to be n*. Soar throat, runny nose (maybe) and might be tired and/or achey. He'll be fine.

You can get definitely get a fever without any other symptoms and 101.7 is not that high for a fever in adults. In fact I rarely medicate a fever in my kids in that range unless they are uncomfortable. Maybe he is just catching the regular flu?

I hope he feels better soon!

if his throat felt raw earlier and then he got a fever I'm gonna bet it is a cold or nasal drip thing and the feverish just his body fighting it. maybe he will get n from the mucus, if he tends to get n easily. but I highly highly doubt it is a sv. get him Tylenol and some tea and have him get in bed and if you are worried, sleep on the sofa for a night or two.
