99.1 temp and hot face, no other symptoms and freaking out.

A few days ago I got some weird bug from husband that resulted in a day/night of fever, chills, exhaustion, headache and then nothing else. It's been a few days and everything feels totally fine, except for I keep getting this very hot sensation in my face, like an acidy, burning heat. I stupidly just took my temp and it was 99.1. I dont have a very strong appetite, (but eating doesn't gross me out), and no other symptoms.

I am hoping this hot sensation is nothing and that I'm not still sick or something. Is 99.1 a fever? Could my temp be higher than normal because I was anxious when i took it? Or because I'm ending my period? I just want to know that I'm 100% healthy so I can calm down and enjoy the day/get work done. What do you guys think?

Sometimes i get a temp all the way up to 99.9 before my period starts, but i suppose you could get one after it ends too, when your hormones are going all crazy.
But i don't think that 99.1 is a fever, just a few degrees higher than it usually is. a low grade fever is like 99.9 to 101. it could also be because you're anxious as you said. I don;t think you're sick, cause if you were you'd probably have other symptoms

that's not really a fever. that's being overheated. no other symptoms? sit near a fan, open a window, take off a sweater. Also, at night your temp goes up, not sure if it is night where you are.

I get a temperature before AND after my cycle too, so I'd say it's more likely that. Especially since you said you had no other symptoms. You'll be fine, I promise. Keep us updated though please.

hi all- 7 hours later and still feeling hot in the face/head. but also still no other symptoms, besides clammy hands which i have often. im not taking my temp again because it does nothing but freak me out. baaahhhhhh

According to my doctor anything under 100.6 is not considered a fever. Body tenps fluctuate for all sorts of reasons and do rise due to anxiety. If you have no other symptoms I would say you are just fine.

Anxiety can definitely cause a temp increase. Mine runs 99 a lot. I dont take mine much either for the same reason. Hope you fer l better soon.

99.1 isn't a fever. It could be anxiety/nervousness, maybe you took it when your blood pressure was higher or maybe it is even the time of day you took your temperature. If your face is still feeling hot splash it with some cool water, sit by a fan and take some deep breaths.
