Nux Vomica - has anyone tried this anti-n* medicine?

Long story short I've been getting n* almost every night bc I am going through bad withdrawal from an SSRI (antidepressant). A nurse practioner I saw suggested taking something called Nux Vomica for nausea. Has anyone taken it before? Thoughts? I looked it up online but I keep getting results saying it is poison and can cause convlusions and death. Like what the heck??

Well, all I know is it's a homeopathic "herb" (with an awful name!!)...and the idea behind homeopathy is to give minute, tiny amounts of the substance, which, in large amounts, will cause the very thing you are trying to prevent. Something about the body helping to heal itself with the help of these substances. Sorry if I'm not completely accurate but that is the general idea.

My dad got it for me. I read warnings about liver damage and decided against taking it.

try emetrol instead? mild and side effects won't give you liver damage or seizures or anything that will put you in the hospital or kill you.
