Possible trigger warning - rambling about outbreaks.

I'm crazy so sometimes I search "norovirus" in the news section of Google to see if there are any outbreaks nearby. There hasn't been any reported outbreaks since 2014, which is good. But I did a general search and saw that it's hitting Oregon and Washington state pretty hard... irrational, but I'm really scared that it's heading this way! I live 2 hours away from Seattle (in Canada). It's nearing summer, so hopefully the outbreaks dwindle down. The weather is especially beautiful where I am today!

There's always little pockets of 'outbreaks' until the last day of school. The schools down south are out in about a week, and I don't know of anyone with a sv* right now. We'll be done with it until August when school starts up again and then sloooooowly we'll hear more and more, peak in Jan. and then slooooooooowly it phases out again. Same thing. Every. Year.

I really don't think you need to worry. Overall it was a mild year, which I'm certain you're experiencing.

Ugh I do that too lol. This year I didn't find much though. Only the outbreaks from 2013. That was a bad year!

I type "norovirus" into google about once a week these days. I NEVER used to do this until recently, and needless to say, I freak out every single time. Oregon is so close to California and I start panicking. You're not alone.
