Default For those who really panic when nauseoua

Im a bit suspish as to why no ones posted in here for a while but I thought I'd give out some advice.. Cos we all have that Cray Cray moment when we realise were feeling s*.

Annnnyway, I posted about it earlier but I got a classic "episode" last night. Episodes of n* I call them... Anyway yeah, so there I am worrying myself if my slight n* was gonna turn into a proper episode and as it turns out, anxiety or not, it did a little. I felt a tad dizzy all night and I got up to my room and got onto fb, this site, other chat sites I'm on and felt tediously s*. I was so sick of worrying and guessing what health issue I might have, so I got up..got some fresh air..looked at the stars and asked myself(in my head lol)

"Oi! Are you REALLLLY feeling that or is it cos you've had about ten peppermints to try and ease the sensation that's not there? Swallow and if you don't feel any unsettling, get back to texting Jamie(my guy) and get some music on!!"

The first time, this kinda failed as I did feel quite bad.. But, after talking to a mate about it then breathing in and out for a bit, I returned to the stars and focused on the smell of the after-storm breeze and looked at all the lights in the houses surrounding my back yard. And you know what? I couldn't believe it, in five minutes I was talking to my friends... Almost forgetting the dread I had five mins prior.
I must point out that last night was very bad... It's the humidity I think but it was an intense moment and the heart did beat at the time lol

So yeah, if you're feeling like youv gone through wayyy too many thought processes, ask yourself - am I Really feeling this?! More often than not for us emets, its our minds tickling us. And sometimes it's nice to shove it off(:

    How are you feeling today?
If youv been nauseas without sickness its most likely in your head unless you have a small bug!

Anxiety nausea is horrible because it can be sooo realistic. I don't think I'm going to be able to explain this properly but I have actually vomited twice in the last 7 years, once with noro and the other occasion last year which I think was due to food poisoning through not storing/reheating a minced beef dish properly - and idk why but on those occasions I just knew 100% for sure that I was going to be sick and this is where I can't put it into words properly because I've convinced myself during anxiety nausea episodes that I was going to be sick too but when you really really are genuinely about to vomit there's truly no mistaking it.

So I think what I'm trying to say is, if you have even the slightest doubt if you're going to be sick or not then you're highly likely not to be because if it were really going to happen you wouldn't have that doubt iykwim?

I'm really pleased you got yourself down from your panic - I think looking at big things that make us feel insignificant in the big scheme of things also helps reduce anxiety too, like starry skies, big blue skies and the sea etc.

Thanks for sharing a positive experience with us all.

    Yep!!
Couldn't agree more tbh, its so true about the not mistaking proper v* and n* !! I'm sorry about the food poisoning, its still ages ago when it happened so that's good.

And yep - I think you've got that just right, getting close to nature helps a heck of a lot...I've found that playing with my budgie in the morning when I'm eating calms me if I'm uptight about what or how much I'm eating!! Haha.

Thanks for the kind reply (:

Thank you for sharing this! I will have to try this out. I usually sit in the shower when I have episodes and focus on the water hitting my back. While on this site or watching netflix. (I know. Weird right?) but I'll give this a go next time!! Thanks a ton!
