Default Do you guys think emet is worsened when not doing much?

I just find it strange how I've been home for almost a month and there's ALWAYS something that's wrong with me...not even feeling n*.. Stomach probs mainly like sometimes tasting blood and my intestines rumbling more than usual...

Also I have no job ATM whilst home, its a new area so I don't know anyone whereas in Uni, when I SHOULDV been more prone to illness(my diet literally was leftover pizza and cake) My mind was either on my boyfriend or on my friends problems'..and of course, class.

Since two days ago (since having a n* attack) I've been almost WAITING to see if I'm OK... I had a few tiny dizzy spells cos of the weather but my family told me to EAT(even though I'm on three meals now finally) but I woke up today and was waiting for the feeling to come, so I could either dread or celebrate the fact that I'm not as rough as I was the other day.

Not sure, just wondering if you guys felt the same when youv been at home doing nothing, like noticing LITTLE body changes more so then when at work or class.
PS - I wanna get a job but I'm going away with my bf in two weeks so its probs abit pointless right now. Also been going out everyday for an hours walk which helpa

I have been out of school since June 2. I thought things would get better but it hasn't. It's gotten worse. The phobia is not good but (Non-Emetophobia) OCD is extreme.
I think it is because I have free time.

I made a post about something related to this about a year ago. It's kind of a scientific approach to the subject but you might find it helpful! http://www.emetophobia.org/showthrea...ed)&highlight=

I find the opposite is true for me. When I am very busy with a full schedule my anxiety and depression tend to relapse. The more time I have at home to myself the better I normally feel.

Yep. The more immerse myself in activities, the less I worry. I become more rational, my mind clear and able to think logically. I find that if I have too much downtime, all I can do is be aware of my body, and too aware. I'm glad I have my license now as I'll take drives or mini roadtrips to distract myself, keep myself occupied even when nobody else is around.

Absolutely. One of my worst stretches of emetophobia and general anxiety was over a summer between school years, and my worries began to dissipate within a month of beginning school again. Like, I went from borderline agoraphobic to studying at school all day and not really thinking of anything. School (and now that I've graduated, work) was always an escape from my anxiety because I had to focus completely on studying and paying attention in class.

My phobia is absolutely worse when I've got nothing to do. If I'm busy and distracted, I don't even think about it but when I'm home, especially alone I become aware of everything my body does and panic much more easily and for longer periods of time about nothing.
