    Default Emet at school?

School starts in 18 days, and with school comes sickness. At the end of last school year I started wearing antiviral masks and not eating while at school. I've been brainstorming ways to keep germ free, disinfecting seats and avoiding giving out and borrowing pens/pencils. Is there anything that you guys do?

wash your hands before you eat and don't put them by your face unwashed. Masks are unnecessary as sv is not airborne. You don't need to disinfect your seats. You are going a little overboard here and are going to make yourself more anxious. I teach middle school and honestly my students do not get sv that much anymore. General good hygiene is really all you need.

I stared high school on thursday, and while the kids are older and more likely to wash hands etc, i still get scared because there are a lot of kids, and its a huge campus.
make sure to wash your hands before you eat, don't touch your face, just like tiredofitall said. You'll be okay, I went thru all of middle school without catching anything.

I'm starting high school, I'm entering through a magnet program, and the school is very populated, there are so many people there, the hallways are small and there is no way I can avoid physical contact with people

I feel that even if I wash my hands often I'll still catch it through other people

Protecting yourself so much from germs can actually make you more likely to get sick. I have a huge phobia of getting sick but never took extreme precautions and i never got sick during my whole 4 years in high school. (just graduated)
Try eating healthy and exercising and getting enough sleep. That will help your body fight off germs better and that is way better for you than obsessing over the germs. And just frequently wash your hands. You are more likely to feel sick from the worrying than feeling sick from actually getting sick.

High Schoolers get sicknesses so much less than lower grades. My suggestion would be to wash your hands after the bathroom and before eating, and use your own pencils. Other than that, I'm afraid feeding the emet with a lot of avoidance or cleaning could make your emet worse. A mask isn't necessary. It might make your anxiety lower, but it could also make you need more "safety" measures innbthe future. High School should be a fun time in your life! Try not to let emet ruin it as much as you can.
