Anyone here have or had a peptic ulcer? If so, what kind of symptoms did you have leading up to diagnosis?

I've had off and on stomach aches for years, but they're never severe and usually due to too much Diet Mountain Dew or something. They never usually last for more than a half hour or so.

Anyway, I've had a pretty regular stomach ache for the last week, but it got a lot worse on Friday. It was so severe for about an hour that I didn't know what to do. I couldn't even really stand up properly.

It finally eased up afterward, but it's been a constant dull ache ever since. And I do mean absolutely constant.

It's all in my upper stomach area and Tums don't seem to really do anything. Nothing really seems to get rid of it completely.

I suppose I'll need to see a doc soon, but I'm curious to see if anyone else has experienced anything similar.
