Can I start by saying "I hate this time of year!"

    Its everywhere...I mean everywhere.

My mom went to the doctor with me yesterday because I was sick (respiratory). Today she calls me and says "I was v* and had d* this morning so bad and it wouldnt stop. She was at work and had to go to the hospital. After that bout she was fine. She even ate a reuben sandwich tonight for dinner (ewww)...she feels fine. It lasted maybe 2 to 3 hours! I dont know if she has a sv or not. She had terrible stomach problems (LONG STORY) her stomach is paralyzed basically and it doesnt empty anywhere near the way it should. She is scheduled to have a gastric bypass to remove most of the stomach. Anyway she has bouts of this from time to time.

You know my question...since she was sick today do you think the chances are slim that she would have been contagious yesterday? (**I need to get a grip...**)Edited by: madisonsmom

Well...since you said that she has had problems in the past with her stomac and that she was fine after 3 hours....I think you'll be okay.
.I just want to feel safe in my own skin. I just want to be happy again. I just want to feel deep in my own world. But I’m so lonely I don’t even want to be with myself. <3

I don't think you have anything to worry about. I hope your mom is okay. I can't imagine a reuben after a couple hours of that! wow! How's the pregnancy?

Madisonmom- I have the same stomach problems as your mom, my stomach is sort of likeparalyzed too. I use a J tube most of the time and eat very rarely, so it CAN cause that, stress (sick daughter maybe?) can cause it to flair up, so can certain foods or medications.

When are you due in July? M birthday is the 23rd. Congrats!

I agree, theres no way she would feel better after a few hours if it was a sv, absolutely no way. You'll be fine.

Just agreeing w/ the others, it was probably her stomach problems flairing up, especially if she was able to eat THAT NIGHT! Try not to worry yourself (I know easy to say right?) but even on the off chance it were a bug you wouldn't catch it just from being w/ her the day before.
