I don't know if it's the long and arduous holiday break with my 7 year old or
the fact that I'm quitting smoking Wednesday or if I'm actually getting sick,
    but I feel terrible.

Irritable beyond belief, sort of dizzy, not hungry. Feel like crying. No
symptoms other than that, but I get scared that it's the beginning of an SV.

I'm going for my usual morning run because for me the best thing to do is
assume it's stress and anxiety until proven otherwise. But I needed to
    unload, so thanks.

I've never smoked or quit smoking, but from what I've heard, you've got withdrawals to a t. Your run will probably help this a lot!

When you get back, try treating yourself to something nice, a hot bath or shower or watch a favorite movie, it may help distract and relax you. Do try to eat even if you aren't hungry, it may help with the dizziness.

    Feel better!

Could it possibly be PMS? The symptoms are similar.

To stop smoking is a big thing and maybe you are just apprehensive about knowing you be changing your life forever. Post an update when you can.

Thanks everybody - I did run and it was helpful.

It's so amazing how truly awful we can feel and not know what it is.

I think the fact that I'm quitting smoking is messing with me. When I have
panic attacks around my emet stuff, I NEED those cigarettes. But I have to
find a way to cope without them. I've done it before and I can do it again.

Ciggies can help reduce stress and anxiety. Since you are going to giving up something - what do you plan to replace it with?
