Default Always TRYING to enjoy things in life!

    Hello Everyone,

Although I have been an emet for as long as I can remember, I always TRY to enjoy life and remind myself that missing out on this beautiful life is simply not worth it. What are some things you do/have done even though you're an emet, that may even surprise yourself?

For example, I LOVE theme parks and rollercoasters. When I was a kid, I avoided rides at all costs because I was so afraid I would v*. One day, my friend somehow convinced me to ride a rollercoaster and I haven't looked back since!!! I am so happy that I was able to overcome that otherwise I would have missed out on so many fun thrill rides.

*side note: currently have a bit of a panic attack but I am trying to calm myself by thinking of all of the good things in life. I hope if you are in the same situation, you can too!

Hi kcott I enjoyed your post because you're absolutely right! We always have to try to do everything we can to live our life.
I love traveling and I don't want to give up on this. Sometimes the fear of v* is very strong but I cannot let that stop me.

At the moment I am in your same situation and I can't sleep, I'm just trying to relax and focus on positive things. Usually works! I hope you'll feel better!

I LOVE TRAVELING! If I could just wander around this world and experience all its beauty for the rest of my life I would! Yes I get anxious but the reward is so much better than the what if’s!

Thank you for sharing. I’m currently on the subway, on my way to have a holiday dinner with family and fighting off a panic attack too, so I am grateful to share in others’ stories and for the distraction.

In the last few years I’ve forced myself to travel more, even internationally, driven a rental car, and seen some rock concerts from a packed floor of wall-to-wall fans. It’s been so rewarding! And no major mishaps or panic attacks.
