Default How long should I be worried?

Hi, so I'm really scared of v*, like I'm sure almost everyone here is. So pretty much younger sister (she is 8) ended up doing so Thursday night. Somewhere between 7-9pm. I was to busy freaking out to remember what time it was.

Anyway for the past two days now, I've been freaked out really bad. I've been avoiding food as much as I can, living off Saltines and Icecream, because if I have to V* I don't want anything in my stomach.

So she and I shared a plate of nachos probably about 5-6 hours before it happened, and she wanted my help in a level on her phone, so we were touching lots of the same stuff. We used the same computer mouse, same remote whatever.

So I haven't been doing the best to avoid germs. I mean I avoided the bathroom she v* in for a day. I washed my hands after touching something she had touched recently, but I did forget to wash my hands a couple times, and I tend to put my hands on my face when I'm nervous.

So my other sister who is 13, v* on Friday, the 16th I think it was? She was fine within like two hours, so it might've been something she ate, but I don't know if my 8 year old sister caught it from her or not. Usually when everyone in the house catches illness (which tends to be rarer than just one or two people getting it) someone else gets it within 1 day at most, so I feel like she didn't get it from her.

Anway I have diabetes (not sure if anyone also has to deal with that nightmare), but supposedly people with chronic illness are more likely to catch all these viruses, so I'm not sure if there is still a high chance I'll get it.

so I guess my point with this is, can anyone offer any advice or experience to help calm me down. Do you think I'm in the clear or should I still be super worried. Any advice you can give would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

You'll know you're in the clear for stomach viruses after 48 hours of possibly having been exposed. If you're fine after that, then I stop worrying. If it's been more than two days I'd say you're free to relax now ^^

    Take care!!!

Choiboy's right, it's got a rough 48 hour incubation period, so relax You're almost definitely clear!
