    Default WHat is Pepto ?

I’ve googled it and established it’s relief for nausea and stomach upset

Does it help anxiety nausea or just ‘real’ nausea?

    Is there a U.K equivalent?
I’m British where can I buy it?
And is it a tablet or a liquid or what?

    Thanks guys

I really struggle with nausea every time I eat so I’m literally paralysed for 2/3 hours every day after my tea

I just checked and it is available in the UK. Ask your pharmacist or chemist.

It contains bismuth subsalicyclate. It is usually sold as a pink liquid which is swallowed when one is nauseated. It is strong enough at suppressing the vomiting center in the brain that it can actually counteract a small dose of syrup of ipecac emetic. It is usually also available in tablet form, but I don't know if that is true in the UK.

It is not an anti-anxiety med, but it always makes me calmer just knowing I have it.

Yep - they sell it in boots! But unfortunately it's only available when we ask for it, and I'm hoping it doesn't have to be prescribed beforehand. It's like £5.00 from what I remember .. I'm also very cynical but there's silicol gel which seems to be its rival ; I might try both

I can’t stand the consistency or the taste of pepto. The pills might be better but I find ginger to work wonders for anxiety nausea and indigestion.
