OMG, my husband is sick--he just called me at work & I had to come home he was watching our 2 little ones he is nauseous and had diarrhea and looks as if he is about to v* at any moment!!!!!!

And the thing is, about 2 hrs before he felt sick, we did the, you know, marital duty and he was kissing me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He fed both of the little ones, too!!! We are all doomed!!!!!!!! I am absolutely going crazy--when will my hell end????? Logan has had 2 sv's since the end of Aug., Haley has had 2 mild ones, Greg has already had one, and so have I!!! I HATE THIS, and now I think my hubby is going to go v* now!!!!!!

Could it be something that he ate?

Calm down until something happens. You made it past the ball pit thing from the weekend and you make it through this too. I know how it feels to mess around and then have your husband feel sick. I have done that before too and it scared me to death.

Try and think of it this way...he may have eaten something since the kids did not catch anything and he did. It is usually the kids and not the adults that get the original SV and so it is possible that his is food related. Another thing is that I heard that the SV that is going around starts with an awful headache and that the V* starts the next day or so. No one has really been having a lot of D* with it, so this may be something else.

I know how difficult it is to relax, but try and get out of the house with the kids and go for a ride and get some freah air. Hopefully it isn't snowing where you are.

I don't know, he didn't eat breakfast or lunch, he ate at work last night and he thinks that's what it is, but that is well over 12 hrs. ago. THe thing is that this week he started carrying hand sanitizer with him to work and has been using it. This just sucks, plus my girls are modeling in a fashion show this weekend, so it figures that it's going to ruin that!!!!!

It won't ruin it since I do think it is what he ate. 12 hours would be about right, but madisonsmon knows more about food borne illnesses. Anyway, it doesn't soudn like you or the girls should worry, just go for a ride and get your mind off of it. Is he resting now?

He went upstairs to lay down. I hate this. I just hate this, I need to check and see if Debbie is on today and ask her about food poisoning. He had fajitas (chicken) with all kinds of spicy peppers with it last night--I don't know what time. He said he feels like his stomach is squeezing shut!!

That's right it is Debbie. It sounds like he has cramps from food stuff. Crampy is when your stomach tightens up.

Maybe it's salmonella (sp) from the chicken. Maybe the chicken wasn't fully cooked.

Thanks, I am just not feeling too hopeful, especially after kissing him this morning!! He has only had d* once and that was over an hr. ago and he still feels sick, so I am feeling hopeful, yet doomed at the same time

Well, I left him here to go to my daughter's Valentine's Day party at her school and he had d* again. I drove the kids around for a while because the baby fell asleep in the car and I didn't want him to wake up, and when I got back my husband was sleeping, and he sounded a little better, he wants me to get him Gatorade, so hopefully it was something he ate yesterday! He never did v*, thank goodness!! It makes me feel a tiny bit better, the only thing is now that the kids could get it and have it worse!!!!!!!!!!

Don't sleep on the pillows and let him keep sleeping on them. When all is well, and it will be soon, washt he covers on them and spray them with lysol on both sides and set them in the garage or outdoors to air out if you can. My friend who is a Dr. told me that trick and it has worked pretty well for us. I doubt he has an SV it sounds more like food related stuff.

Aw, Donna, I'm so sorry. You are such a strong person the way you are always up against this and somehow get thru. Like the others said it could have beent he fajita. Even if the food was OK doesn't he have stomach problems? Maybe the spices irritated something. Also you kissed him before he had symptoms and therefore before he was contagious IF it is a sv so you are OK there. I feel so bad that you are in this again but you WILL get thru it and we are here for you all the way! Hope he's feeling better soon!

It could be food related. It really doesnt sound like food poisoning. He's only had a couple of bouts of diarrhea, right?

Has he been around anyone actively sick?

He could have a headache from not eating. I bet you will be fine. I think he would have been sicker than he is if it was food poisoning.

My husband sometimes has bouts of loose poop. He says its diarrhea, but diarrhea is 2 or more watery stools in a 24 hour period.

It doesn't really sound like an sv* to me since he hasn't really had much d* and he hasn't v*ed either. I hope you all stay healthy! Keep us posted.

I know this probably doesn't relate, but my dad has d* all the time, and I will sometimes for no reason. I'm not sick it's jsut something that happens sometimes, I'll feel bad but no one else will get it, it's just me. I hope that's what's happening with your hubby too. And as fo ryour kids I hope they all get better soon

I'd say anything he is feeling (certainly the headache) is from not eating.. it definatly sounds like it was what he ate that is causing it, I think if he had V*ed he would have done so by now!

Your so strong and I really admire you for it, I could never do what you are doing.. keep up the good work.. it'll all be over soon!

No, I think he has the bug I had a couple of weeks ago, he feels how I did after I was done w/ the d*. That makes ME feel a little better, because if it's the same one, I won't get it again and neither will my middle child!!!
