I was browsing the forum and noticed how many people are dealing with illness, and then I got a text message from my boyfriend saying that he was laying down in his tub, sick. ACK!

I was out earlier running some errands and got hungry so I got sashimi. It was pretty good, and I never got sick from this particular place, but still. I get home and now I hear he's sick! I haven't seen him since the weekend last, but tomorrow we have tickets for a Broadway play at 2:00 in the afternoon!!! Yikes!!! We only got the tickets 6 months ago and have been waiting patiently for this weekend to get here...and we were supposed to go to a high-end restaurant after the show. As it is, we're facing an impending blizzard *sigh* What is it, I almost feel like it's FINAL DESTINATION 4, everything seems to be happening to keep us away from the theater tomorrow.

SO! I normally avoid sick people for days, but if I'm going to meet up with him in only 12 hours (provided he can peel himself off the bathroom floor) - any advice? I should at least hug him and hold his hand and all...but I don't know how I'm going to deal with avoiding kissing him! ACK!

Why this weekend? What is it? Probably a full moon or something.Edited by: 1987porsche944

    How is he now?
My guess is that if he is already getting sick, he isn't contageous anymore (if he ever really was) - so you are probably ok. No one wants a v*-breath kiss - so you seem completely normal there! hugs and other affection are nice - as long as he is open to them (he might still feel icky and want to be left alone - nothing to do with you at all) Follow his cue, make him brush his teeth - and I think kissing is ok.

Where are you? I'm in Boston and we are getting a big storm this weekend too.

    I'm in NYC.

LOL @ v*-breath kiss Yeah, I guess that excuse is good enough, ha ha.

I have no idea how he is. I haven't heard from him in a while. We don't live together. I'm not dropping in on him right now.

I just find this whole upcoming weekend terrible...ironic? I can't seem to find the word to describe it, but it seems like everything is conspiring against us going to the theater!!! Looks like I'll be going through the same storm you are. Wish it would wait a day. Then I could still make it to the fancy restaurant, and if it stormed on Sunday night, we would most likely have a delayed opening at my job on Monday.

I can't wait to go out and run rampant in the snow!!!

If the blizzard hit Sunday night, I would have a delayed start to my job!!! We were all hoping it would hit Sunday night. Ha ha.

Haven't heard anything, and it's almost time to get going (meeting a friend for breakfast first and putting my car in his garage for the weekend). Well, hope I enjoy myself today, hehheh.

Try to enjoy it. I wouldn't kiss him. but I think you will be fine if you take precautions like not eating and drinking after him etc.

Hey how did everything go? I'm sure he isn't contagious now! Especially if he is feeling well enough to go out, I'm sure it was something that didn't agree with him!

Let us know how it went

my boyfriend was sick a few weeks ago and i avoided him for about a week.
and even yesterday when we hungout i was still weary on kissing him... because its like "whats inside your mouth ready to get me today?"..totally irrational..
    anyways...
i'd say if he FEELS GOOD..
then hangout with him. make sure he keeps his hands washed..
    dont overload on eating food..
    and dont kiss him..
    Thats my advice.

Oh well, I got stranded due to the storm and just spend a wild and stressful 2+ hours driving <5 miles on packed snow in the Porsche.

He thinks that it may have been something he ate or drank on Friday night. I sucked it up and just went in and enjoyed the show. We had reservations at a nice restaurant at 6:30, and he was up for it, so we ended up having a nice meal as well. I figured I might as well kiss him. He seemed to be fine. He knows about my emetophobia, so when I asked him if he thought he had a sv, he said "I've never ever had a sv." HA! I told him he just jinxed himself, hehheh. I sure hope not.

Now maybe it'll finally be cold enough in the NY metro area to kill off some of these viruses going around!!!

Taby - I lived in Tuscaloosa for a year or so.
