so of course my hands have been ultra dry since winter has begun.. especially with all the hand washing...
however lately my hands have become super itchy...
And finally tonight i realized not only were they itchy but they were getting little red bumps too...pretty much a rash.

now i had bought some new purell the other day and have been using that.
and its just about the only new thing ive been putting on my hands....
have any of you encountered any rash type stuff from using it?

or is this just from having extremely dry hands? or WHAT?? its bugging me.

I get that all the time (and at the moment) from dry hands! Also that and my skin has all cracked up and gone raw..

I find E45 (not sure you can get that in the states?) works a treat, or vaseline.. they are indeed my wepons of choice! Also Savlon (not sure if you can get that there either!) works a treat and is antiseptic, so it kills two birds with one stone!

    Hope this helps!

Sounds like extreme dry hands, I get it quite alot, I use thick cream each night and put my hands into cotton gloves wich are kind of expensive but it does the trick instead of all the itching.

I end up getting to the point where my hands bleed there so raw

Even before emet I always got extreme dry hands in the winter. First
they'll be rough, then itchy, then they'll get to where they're firey
red and are almost too painful to move.

Aquaphor or Vasaline works best for treating your hands when they get
to the extremely dry level. Put it on before bed, or at any time when
you don't have to use them because it will make your hands greasy. Once
they've softened up a little bit you can switch back to regular lotion.

yes, i doubt that your red bumps are an allergic reaction to something,
it sounds to me like severe dryness from all the handwashing followed
by exposure to cold air. my sister has the same thing, and her
hands itch too. carry around a good lotion that you can apply
    after washing.
