    hi everyone

Sometimes (for no real reason), in the middle of the night (around 3 or 4 am) I'll wake up from a really deep sleep and feel very very n* and almost like im going to v*. it happened again this morning and i was panicking. eventually, i had to take Gravol to feel better and I didn't fall back asleep until about 5am.

I can't figure out why this keep happening but i hate it!!! had this ever happened to anyone else? if so, what do you think causes this and how can I make it go away?

    thanks so much!

    Hey Hayley,

I get this some of the time, more before and after I sleep at the moment, mind you my sleeping isnt amazing at the moment insomnia has kicked in but nayywa.

yes I wake from a deep sleep in a sweat and uncomfortable feeling a little n* then il realise whats going on and then suddenly the anxiety hits me.

I dont tend to take anything to try get back to sleep ect and never have taken anything for the n* but I havent really found anything that has relaxed me enough to go back to sleep apart from putting some of the tv or something to distract me enough to get tired again to go back to bed.

so yes hun you arent the only one..

yeah it happens to me too. and because I don't usually wake up in the night, when I do I automatically assume its for a bad reason. and I start panicking.

I usually use my phone as a distraction. and read through alll my messages from friends and stuff. I usually get bored and my eyes hurt from tiredness and the light on the phone so I drift off.

The other night, the night after my mum had been ill I was so worried I woke up after half an hour. And only got 2 hours sleep that night. Even then nothing distracted me and I didn't know what to do with myself. So I read a book.

    xxx.

I have worried myself so much about this for ever, that i now routinely wake up every morning about 4am, sometimes I feel nauseous, other times I dont but I cant stop myself from waking up. Its almost likeI wake up to make sure Im ok and when I realise I am I go back to sleep(although I never sleep well!! and havent done for years)

that used to happen to me frequently..
    still does sometimes..
USUALLY i wake up at the same time every night. between 1 and 3 every night.
my chiropractor says it has to do something with the liver?.. especially if you're waking up at around the same time everynight.

usually when i wake up and feel n*.. i'll notice my hands are super sweaty and feet too.. and then i'll start freaking out of course. and i'll have some gas. and then usually dirnk some hot ginger tea.. and it'll calm me down enough to fall back asleep.

i'd like to know the specific reason for why it happens ..but.. ehh.

This sometimes hapens to me too. But I awaken with a little n, and a very fast heartrate that lasts for about 2 mins.. Sometimes especially if Ive had a lot of caffeine I get uncontrollable leg/body shakes. After 20 mins or so Im ok and go back to sleep.
