Here is a list of things I do and don't do because of my phobia - it is fairly short at the moment because I am just about to leave work - but it's a start - feel free to add your do's and don'ts:
If I see a parked car I always check to see whether the car has stopped for someone to be sick
Open doors in public areas with cuff of sleeve
Won’t go on holiday with other families unless I am in my own apartment/villa (for fear of other people getting sick – whether it be drink related or sv)
Won’t sit in the carriage on a train where the toilets are
I wont go in a cubicle in a public toilet if the seat is down, in case there is something under there I don’t like!
When anybody rings in ill at work, I give them the third degree as to what is wrong with them! Not because I am nosey but because I like to know whether they have been sick
Automatically assume that everyone who is off sick has an sv unless I hear otherwise
Check out everyone around me on the train to make sure they don’t look ill (as in a greeny colour)!
Always sleep with my bedroom window open
Don’t really like going to peoples houses in the winter, just in case someone has an sv
Love fresh air – will always favour windows open even if it is freezing cold. (I bet people hate me on the train because I always open the window, come rain or shine!)
