so for the past few days I've had this virus thingy, I went to to the doctor today and he gave me a prescription for antibiotics in case I get a secondary infection fun stuff! But the worst part was Sunday night-this morning, I had a fever fluctuating between 99 and 101. fun stuff right? Well sunday night I v*ed 2x's, but I haven't since then I jsut htought it was because of all the drainage, but he said there's this cirus going around here that some people get in their head some peopel get in their stomach and some people get in both...looks like I got it in both, great! Well I haven't v*ed since then, jsut been coughing up nasty stuff! The last time I coughed up anything significant it felt like part of my throat was ripped out....so I'm going to try to srink some room temp water and god to bed!

just an odd note, the virus isnt whats making you sick! whats making you feel sick is how your body reacts by the virus invaders, by raising your body temperatue (fever) and a runny nose, etc. I always thought that was a neat concept, since most people think its the virus that causes symptoms, when its your own body's defences Edited by: Babydoll

I heard the same thing about a virus going around where I live. Teachers were complaining about V* in addition to the cold stuff and they said it wasn't all because of the drainage. I have gotten the cold part and some stomach stuff, just GRATEFULLY haven't V* (came really close a few times). Your anti-biotics could have also made you V*, so never forget to rule that out.

wellI never took the antibiotics, they were for if I got a secondary infection, and I haven't even gotten that prescription filled, and also that was 2 days after I v*ed so yeah. And that is a good way to think about it Babydoll...it is the body's defense to being ill that makes things liek this happen, and I probably was on waaaaay too many meds for my own good, more benadryl than anyone should ever take!
