I'm sure there have been a million topics on this before, but what the hey!

I'm fed up with how gross some people can be. Today, a girl v*d on the train (this is not the first time I've encountered something like this). I didn't see 'it', but could hear her retching...sorry, graphic. I was so shocked that I got off at the wrong station, and had to stand in the rain for half an hour til the next train came! Lol, funny thing is, I wasn't even scared or panicked - it was just an instant reaction, you know? Like "I have to get out of here, no questions asked."

The other week a couple of dirty kids got on and sat near me, about ages 6 and 9. No adult with them or anything. Smelled like they hadn't had a shower in weeks; I was just about gagging. The oldest of the two (brace yourselves, this is not nice) pulled off a piece of chewing gum that was stuck to the window, and put it in her mouth, and just sat there chewing on it!! EW!! Naturally, me being a germaphobe, it haunted me for the whole day!

Anyways, sorry about the mini rant! I just had to share my disgust! Any of you guys experienced something like this?

Ooh yeah Angel i had a scare a while back when a very heavily pregnant young girl on a bus was heaving right in front of me. Scared the hel out of me so i got off the bus at the first stop i could and waited in the cold for another one. Even though i knew that it was probably her pregnancy that caused her to feel sick i still felt that i had to get outta there fast, just in case!

Eww that turned my tum about that orrible little urchin that took the gum off the window, kids these days eh! They just don't realise the bugs that are out there, i know that we as emets are more germaphobic than most but that is plain disgusting, makes you wonder what kind of home they came from doesn't it?

That story about the gum is sooooo gross, but you have to think, Im sure the kid involved probably didnt even get sick!!!

If they live in a dirty house and are used to all the filth it probably didnt affect them.

Not that I would do anything like that, god I only jhave to get on public transport to be reaching for the handwipes, handwash, antibacterial stuff etc.

My mum always said "a bit of dirt wont hurt you" and whilst I do agree with herI certainly dont live by those rules........

I used public transportation for 6 months were I used to live. I never had anyone V* on the bus near me, at least that I know of, but I have sat near my fair share of people who didn't shower and or were so stoned/ drunk/ high/ whatever. The bus I took everyday was on the route of the charity hospital in town too, so I saw people coming to and from (including a guy who still had his IV needle in who had apparently had a "heart attack", but was too lazy to wait to get everything finished!). I also met a new mother taking her first born child home from the hospital for the first time - it was so incredible... - she had no other transportation, so she just took her baby home on the bus.

I actually miss taking public transporation. I really enjoyed it and hope to take it regularly again soon when I move out on my own. There is no public transporation in the city where I live right now and it makes getting around independently impossible, so I have to rely on others (no car and I cannot afford one).

I really miss talking to people and I had the most awesome bus drivers in the world where I used to live! I got to know them and they got to know me. It was really awesome and I honestly enjoyed taking the bus. It gave me time to read and relax and listen to music while I was waiting. I really enjoyed it, not to mention it gave me great exercise!
I\'m always a shade of purple...

I take public transportation a lot, living in Boston, and i've had a few bad situations. My mom's tops them all though--she was a dancer in New York, and so she would take the subway a ton. For some reason, she would take it on St. Patrick's Day. She said that, inevitably, some person would come and sit behind her, and then v*. Although not an emet, she was thoroughly disgusted on st patricks day, and so to this day insists on driving then. Lol!

I'm not a huge fan of public transportation either. Most of the people in my cities who take it are the slums of town and many people have been beaten and raped so it's not the safest of things to do either.

About the gum.....soooo gross! Apparantly, when my dad taught and I was about 2 or 3, I was right at the height where I could see under the desks. My mom would take me to school to pick my dad up and all of a sudden I'd have this piece of gum in my mouth. So my dad used to make kids who got in trouble and stayed after school clean the bottom of the desks and get the gum off (they got rubber gloves and a scraper thingy. But I stopped doing that when I was like 3 and a half!

Oh eww!!!! The gum thing is just EWW!!!!

What is it about public transportation and v'ing?! The one of the handful of times that I've had to take the train, while on vacation, and someone v'd over the side of the platform when we were waiting for the train. I pulled my husband to the other end of the platform so that we wouldn't be in the same car as the person who v'd..... how sad that is the memory I take away from my vacation....

I have used public transport all my life, including several train trips a year, because my mum doesn't drive. In ALL this time of taking the bus or the train or the underground I have only ever seen one person V*. It was a woman who had ben drinking and it was on the underground and it was soooo gross BUT I didn't panic I just got off the next stop with my friends, and although slightly shaken, didn't let it spoil my trip. I was so proud of that!

However I do have an issue with buses and coaches for long journeys, I think cos my little sis used to get travel sick
Be courageous, believe in yourself, and be the best woman you can be. I'm with you all the way.
