HI All, I wanted to share with you that my cousin who is a nurse and has two children aged one and three called me to tell me how she got a taste of what it felt like to be an emet. She had started her daughter in nursery school in Jan. I warned her that last year when my son first started school it seemed like someone was sick from Sept to May. Colds, unexplained fevers, and well sv*. She didn't think it would be to bad, but when she called today she told me a few weeks back she actually lost itover her kids v*. They had the bug one week where her one year old was so bad she thought she would have to bring her to the hospital. Then a few weeks later her husband called her to tell that he had to go pick up their daughters at his mothers shortly after she had dropped her off because she had started v*. My cousin admitted that she just started to cry and say she couldn't take it anymore.

I was kinda a shocked because she is a nurse and she always prouded herself on how she dealt with v* episodes on regular basis with patients and that it never really bothered her. It felt good to hear that even a non-emet person could lose it as well and just want to run away from it all. I told her I totally understood and that first kid going to school is a killer and this year was much improved over last years string of illnesses for me. I had to assure HER that next year wouldn't be as bad!! It felt good to be the one doing the consoling for once!!
