Jackson (my son) and I have been around a lot of people with sv's in the past couple days. Tuesday I took him to daycare and heard a teacher say one of the kids in his class was sick with d* (they automatically send v*/d*/fever kids home). I picked him up early that day to take him to the dr. (he's getting bronchitis) and there was a toddler in the waiting room who had been v* all day. So we came home with our antibiotics and the very next morning my stepdad is sick with v* and fever, but he is fine now (very short illness, not even 24 hr.). I took Jackson to daycare this morning and heard that another kid was v*. She was not in Jackson's class though, but they all do play outside together.

So when I picked him up this evening he was fine, playing and hyped up on Easter candy from their Easter party in class...then when we got home he was kinda sluggish and got more so through the evening. He just went to sleep early and I'm so scared...he never acts like this, didn't want to eat, couldn't hold his head up. He had a sv last Easter too! Ugh, I hate Easter. Ehat do you guys think?

With your son being around people with the stomach virus he could be coming down with it, could also be the bronchitis. I know that being on a antibiodic does not stop you from getting a stomach virus.
He is probably tired from having fun at the party and eating candy could upset his tummy. Maybe he just needs a good night sleep.
Let us know how your son is feeling.

Don't forget "crashing" from all the sugar earlier in the day. This used to happen to my younger sisters constantly. I remember them falling asleep at the dinner table in their bowls of spaghetti after attending birthday parties and stuff

Hopefully a good nights' sleep will restore his vigor.
Take small account of might, wealth and fame, for they soon pass and are forgotten. Instead, nurture love within you and and strive to be a friend to all. Truly, compassion is a balm for many wounds.

So sorry you are going through this - I hate it when it happens with my kids. This is only based on my observations with my own kids, but it seems to me that the sv's come on pretty fast. Like they are fine and head downhill fairly fast from there. Also, I don't seem to recall that fatigue (at least prior to v'g etc.) has ever been a real symptom of a sv for my kids.

He could be tired from his body fighting the bronchitis. I don't know for sure, but we'll all hope for the best. Keep us posted.

I hope your little boy is feeling better soon. I hope it was the bronchitis that made him extra tired and not an sv.

Hi, any news on your son?

My son v* twice on Monday and my other half had to stay home from work to deal with him. He wasn't drowsy before v* but after he fell asleep instantly and we couldn't wake him up. He v* at about 7.30 am and again at about 9.00 am and then went straight to sleep. We have had so many peoply around us with sv's. I wasn't even aware of an sv season before I had kids. I used to love the winter. Now I think I will hybernate until it is over. I cant handle it.

Hope your little man is okay. Please let us know that he was okay.
