I just read this in my Cosmo magazine and thought I'd share it with you guys. I don't know if anyone has read it yet or even reads Cosmo. The article is titled "Unhealthy Couple Habits"
Here's a section in the article: "You Come Down With Colds"
You and he are sharing more than a bed; you're also sharing microbes. "By being in close proximity to another person and swapping body fluids regularly, you increase how many germs you come in contact with, especially common cold andflu bugs." You don't have to keep your hands off of each other, but get in the habit of washing them several times a day, such as any time you come in from outside or home from work. Scrubbing with soap for 30 seconds kills cold and flu viruses, so you can grope and lock lips without passing germs back and forth. If one of you is sick and the other isn't, it's even ok to do the deed. "Cold and flu bugs are mostly spread via direct contact with an infected person's nose, eyes, or mouth, or through fluids from the mucous membranes there." So as long as your faces aren't touching (positionwise, use your imaginations) and you aren't sprayed by a wet cough or sneeze, you probably won't transmit germs.
The quotes were from psychologists and doctors. Just thought it was interesting and might be of some help.Mel
