Those with IBS as well, do you find traveling anywhere (I mean day trip/overnite trip or longer to say visit someone) kicks off your IBS?
This weekend me and my husband went to my aunts, and it was good, except stupid IBS. It wasn't bad, but enough that I didn't sleep good the nite I was over there, and enough to just be crampy and such on and off the whole trip. I don't get it because the day before we left I was fine, and I know that not eating can just set me into an attack (mess up my guts for a few days), so I determined not to worry and to just eat normal and try my best to enjoy the trip. I still got some IBS. My husband said I would have had it anyways even if we hadn't gone, but I'm not sure about that. I just wish it would behave, and it makes me afraid to go away from home overnite for fear it will act up in an inconvenient situacion and ruin the trip.
I want to travel and be okay, and not have to worry about my guts and intestines, because we do at least travel a week to Ohio about once or 2 times a year, and I don't want it ruined everytime, but like clockwork the day we leave, it acts up and I don't know how to make it not. It is very very frustrating. It makes me not want to travel, but I do want to go and see people and enjoy the time, not be having to deal with cramping guts and being up half the nite misreable.
