Thanks Anya (thats an unusual but nice name)
My biggest worry at the moment is about my driving test on monday
I feel alot of pressure and become very nervous and usually panic when im waiting to do something especially a test of some kind....
I just hope i dont screw up.
Its kinda hard to keep delving into drinks or mints whilst on a driving test and if i start to panic i may just screw it up .
Ive wanted to drive for years and im very very interested in cars and stuff, plus its costing me over £120 for this test which i cant afford to waste.
I am prepared with loads of mints and Lucozade and some "bach's rescue remedy" lol
*fingers crossed*

Hi Adam

Welcome to IES!!

My name is Kim/Kimmy and i'm 25.

Where in the UK are you? Have you managed to get your therapy for free on the NHS? I have been offered (and accepted of course) 10 free 1 hr sessions with a CBT councellor so was just wondering..

I know what you mean about your driving test and I would be nervous too. It sounds like you've got yourself all prepared with your 'safety devices'.. also put a few droplets of rescue remedy into a bottle of mineral water and sip it as often as you can.. I also suck Polo's and chew gum.. but I think what you should try to do most of all is focus all your attention on driving correctly! If you focus on that, any other thoughts will probably be pushed out.. and you must know by now that panicking will NEVER cause you to V*. Panic is natural and normal and an instinctive reaction to our thoughts.. so don't fear it!

Well good luck for your test and let us know how you get on!

thanx for the reassurance.
Im in merseyside (near liverpool).
Does adding recue remedy to water help? i have the spray remedy and just squirt a couple of sprays on my tongue.
Kindof helps but its hard to tell. Its no miracle maker lol.
