Did you guys ever have a reoccuring dream that makes you believe someone is trying to tell you something?

I'm a believer that dreams are just the brain trying to sort out unresolved issues in your mind, and piece together the events of the day, as you sleep. however, I've been having a dream lately thats driving me nuts and I can't figure out the point of it. Its almost making me doubt my previous theory of why we dream.

    a little background:

when I was in highschool, a boy I knew died in a plane crash.. he was driving a small plane with a few others and something went wrong, and he was the only one who passed away. This was about 6 or 7 years ago. he was so full of life and one of the nicest guys you could ever meet. I wasn't close to him but knew him enough to say "hi"or "whats up" in passing.

    the dream:

I keep having this dream that he's in my dream. For the ones I remember, the first one I was trying to tell him he had died and he was very upset.. for the second he was trying to lead me somewhere but wouldn't say anything, and for the third one, he just stands there, and looks at me, like he wants to say something to me but can't. I always know I'm dreaming when I see him now, which is odd, because I've dreamed of others ( my old dogs) who had died but I didn't realize I was dreaming, if that makes any sence.

anyways, This has been driving me nuts, and I wish I could realize what this all means, because I've never had a dream that took a hold of like this one.

    yesssss

When I was in elementary school, I used to dream my geography teacher and she always told me indirect something important about school...

I think that all dreams predict something but we dont understand that.

That's funny you wrote this topic because yesterday i was thinking about this recurring dream I always have that I am at school (could be college or high school) and it is all the sudden the end of the semester and I still don't know my schedule so I have missed several classes and am not able to take the final and I'm going to flunk out. I told my mom and dad about this and turns out they have had the same dreams with a few variations.

So yesterday, I was looking around dream web sites to see if I could find it, and I went to http://www.lifetreks.com/lifetreks2/recurring.aspand found that this is a very common dream among people that are perfectionist types who judge themselves too harshly. Described me to a "t"! It was crazy.

But I think dreams wiith people who are dead telling you something is FAR more significant and interesting. I always ask peoplewho have had someone close to them die if they have had any strange experiences such as dreams like yours. I think it is so fascinating.
