OT: Need your prayers...

Okay as some of you know I posted about my sister being sick the other day. Well it's been BAD since saturday and although she's been on meds for her UTI for two days she still isn't better and is in A LOT of pain. The last time I saw her (Sunday) she was in so much pain she was crying. I have NEVER seen her in so much pain in my life. She also said she's never been in more pain then she is in right now. Here's the kicker...THE DOCTORS DON'T KNOW WHAT'S WRONG WITH HER! It scares me to DEATH because she's my best friend in the ENTIRE WORLD! I tell her everything! We do stuff together! Every weekend we spend together and joke around and tell each other stuff and everything. I'm not a very religious person but today I went to a church and lit a candle for her and said a prayer. It's not that I think she's going to DIE or anything but I mean I'm just SO upset that she's in so much pain you know? It hurts me SO BAD to know that she's suffering, and she's such a kind light hearted person all of you would LOVE her if you knew her! But she's not even herself any more, she can't even talk to me on the phone. All I'm asking is for you guys to pray for her. I don't care what religion you are, or even if you aren't religious at all...if you believe in a higher power...PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE ask them to heal my little sister. I love her so much and I can't bare to think that she's in pain!

UPDATE GUYS!


This morning at like 8:15 my dad called and told me that my sister went into surgery. Of course I was all panicky cause I didn't get to the phone in time and heard the message. In the message he didn't tell me WHY she had to get surgery so I tried calling him back and of course he wasn't home. ANYWAY I left a message and he called me back and told me that she had a cyst that she had to get removed. I can only assume it was an ovarian cyst or something because I've had them before and they HURT LIKE A MOFO but mine always cleared up without needing surgery. My dad said she's doing fine and he's going to take me to visit her later today! Thanks ALL of you for your good thoughts and prayers! You guys are AWESOME!

Another Update!


Okay well they had to remove one of her ovaries but she's fine with that cause she knows that she only needs one. She spent the night in the hospital on tuesday and came home yesterday.

Ovaries are about the size of a prune but her left ovary was the size of a fist. It was starting to twist the falopian tube and that's what was causing her so much pain cause it was so big. I saw a picture of the BAD ovary and a picture of the good one. The good one was tiny and nice and pink, the bad one was HUGE and it was all black and purple. The doctor said that the cyst she had she was born with it. In some cases they don't grow and are fine, but in her case it did grow and it overtook the ovary. They disected the bad one (Once it was out of her of course) and found like part of a TOOTH growing in it! We joked that it was her underdeveloped twin!


As I mentioned in the first post she's light hearted and kind and she was even joking about it a little. She said she didn't care that they had to remove the ovary and she was hoping to use it to her advantage cause she missed the math final she said, "I'm going in to school and telling my teacher 'Um I couldn't take the math final cause I lost an ovary". Now all she has is a small scar, I didn't see it but she told me that it was really thin and stitched from the inside and the stitches would disolve on their own.


Once again, thank you all for your support and prayers. She is on the mend (Bed rest for 10 days though) but she's back to her old happy and plucky self. You guys still rock!

I'm glad she is doing well. Yikes! Cysts can really be a pain. I had one (in the other region ehem) and it was pretty large and had to be removed. Glad it wasn't anything too serious or bad.

Yikes monica! I kinda of wished I hadnt read this! Im sorry to hear about your sister. I have a UTI right now and now Ill probably think that Ill get really bad too Is she on ay kind of medciation? possibly having an allergic reation?

She was on anti-biotics for her UTI and now she's on anti-biotics for the insicion in her skin to reach her uterus. She's also on pain killers, percaset (Sp?) for the pain. They don't think she had a UTI after all, they think that it was just her cyst causing the bleeding and whatever. I wouldn't worry too much, if you were going to have a problem with a cyst then you'd be in a lot of pain already. I'm sure you just have a routine UTI.

I'm so happy that she is okay. She must have been in so much pain.


Yep, she will be fine with one ovary. I have polycystic overies. I have also had one of fallopian tubes removed and have since been pregnant 4 times ! If I can fall pregnant 4 times with one tube and polycystic overies then I am sure your sister will be fine.


Anyway, like I say, I'm glad that she is fine and on the road to recovery.

Hey, Monica, this is Pumpkin3800. I know, I know. I changed my name here but left it kinda similar cuz I accidently logged off once, then couldn't remembe my own password for days.
