Hello guyz, I'm just wondering how safe it's to microwave a cold sandwich. I did it already and ate itand feel fine so far but food poisoning could sometimes take far longer than 3 hours. Ithadsome kinda of a salad saucein it and it also had cold turkey. They say, "if you wanna stay safe, keep cold foods cold and hot foods hot!" I remembered it after I ate it. You can mircowave pretty much anything.... it's not going to make you sick.

that quote means that, if you keep something cold or hot, make sure it's below or above a certain temperature.

people put stuff in the fridge all the time and reheat it later. your fine!

My doctor actually told me to microwave any lunchmeats I eat until they are steaming hot while I am pregnant in order to kill any bacteria that may cause food poisoning. Most bacteria cannot go through the placenta, but I guess the kind that you can get from deli meat (although it is rare) can actually travel through the placenta and potentially harm the baby. So, I actually think you are better off microwaving it! I haven't done it personally because I just like cold deli meat. I am craving a turkey sandwich - I told my husband I want one waiting for me at the hospital as soon as I deliver!

I am the QUEEN of microwaving!!I order-out chinese is amazing, and I eat it a lot, but I always have leftovers. The next day or two, I reheat constantly. As sillygirl said, it's probably safer to microwave.
