Hi all!

I have posted here like 50 times already, but I figured I should formally introduce myself since I plan on sticking around and discontinuing my lurkdom . First of all, I need to say briefly that this forum has the best group of people I have ever encountered on the internet. You are all so supportive and kind. It is really amazing that such sane and intelligent people share this entirely insane fear!

My name is Carolyn, and I am 17 and from the USA *waves*.

I have been emet since age 5 1/2. My emetophobia is kind of in "remission" at the moment and only strikes occasionally. This "remission" is fondly welcomed after the horrible experiences I have had with it in the past.

In terms of hobbies, I am a voracious reader and a writer. I am currently about to attempt shopping my 1st book around to agents and publishers (the book isn't about emet). That process might develop into a brand new phobia for me from what I have heard from other authors- haha.

So, it is very nice to meet you all!

Hi Carolyn! Nice to meet you.

It doesn't surprise me that you want to get a book published. I was actually surprised to see that you were 17, because your writing style is quite good and doesn't show your age at all!

Actually I'm planning on majoring in history. That has always been my greatest love. My book is a combination of historical fiction and fantasy. It was so fun to write. I started when I was 14 and it is somewhere around 500 pages now. I cut out quite a bit because it was so long in its unedited form.
