Just wanted to gush a bit because it is my youngest daughter's first birthday today!! I honestly don't know where the time went. We dressed her up and had the grandparents over for cake, and it was a lovely time. I will post some pics soon if I can figure out how. I am a complete moron when it comes to computers.

Happy Birthday to your little lady! My first born turns 8 tomorrow! How
on earth did that happen?! Aren't their birthdays fun? Do you relive the
actual day and all of the emotions that went with it?

Enjoy!

Surfjunkie, I kept thinking about what was happening at any particular time that day. "Oh, at this time, we were driving home from the birth center" etc. And the day before, thinking about being in labor all day, how my stepmom and I walked, and walked, and walked. Interesting how we relive this stuff. This one was a lot more vivid than my first, probably because I was drugged for that one, and my second was au naturale. THough when it came down to it, I would have taken the drugs, if they were available. Luckily, I was at a birth center that didn't offer drugs, or I would have been all over it. I'm glad in the long run to have had no drugs, because it seemed to shorten the recovery time.

I will cherish the memories of my children's birthdays forever. They were
amazing days in my life! Especially with my first, I remember EVERY
detail! I would love to do it all over again, and attempt it without any
drugs and maybe a birthing tub, however, my dr. has recommended no
more pregnancies for me. My deliveries were difficult (I am a tiny person
and gave birth to my son 2 weeks early and weighed 8# 11 oz. and my
daughter who came 1 month early and weighed 8# 2oz.) I'm so curious
to try it, but will have to cross that off my things left to do!

Aren't we lucky to be moms?
