Hey My name is Jenn I am a 25 year old mother of 2 dealing with emet every day of my life. [img]smileys/smilies_10.gif[/img]
I have been coping with this since 6th grade the last time i did the deed. I was 12 and realized this was not the normal fear. I did it then I lived and said I didn't want to do it again. Now this is tough in a world of stomach bugs and in my early days of emet I spent many a sleepless night in the shower trying to calm myself. I wished to god I could be normal like my friends who would just do it and get it over with. I went from a happy healthy chunky food loving kid to a thin and depressed teenager. I eventually decided to go on with life but at every turn found that this was really eating at me. I thought maybe someone could be helped from some of my crazy methods which have got me through bugs. Pregnancy and coping with my little ones being sick. I am not a doctor and don't recommend that you do them I am an emetaphobic and this is my personal experiences.
"Big Help"
1. Altoids the strongest mint you can buy get them in peppermint the cleaner your mouth and insides feel the better. Took them with me through pregnancy and into the delivery room. They are awesome.
2. Warm showers are so relaxing. You sit in there and feel the water soaking through every part of your body.
3. Dentene Ice Peppermint. Helps
4. Defering the mind as crazy as this sounds with pain. Whether pinching or forgive me for the insanity lightly biting another spot on your body it's amazing how this momentarily defers your mind.
5. (NOT INTENDED FOR KIDS) the big o relaxes your body not by doing the deed but by helping yourself. It has got me through many a N**s spell.
6.the obvious cool air helps.
7. When the bug is going around I do what I call a fast. 7 days of no food. empty stomach nothing to th**w *p. My theory anyhow others would beg to differ. Other are sick I am cleansing my body!LOL
8.Laying with a pillow pushing on your stomach gets the excess air bubbles squished out.
9.Did i mention Altoids!!!!!!GODSEND
10. Tea TeaTea helps so much for most chamomile would be a good choice for me lipton brew I like the caffiene as it pushes the food through quicker and makes my stomach feel empty.
Now a question is it just me or do other emets like the feeling of an empty stomach. I would prefer empty over full anyday and I love food. Anywho just some thoughts to help! I am doing better now and it's been 12 years I thank god every day. Everyone realize this emets are really strong. Have a will power not to do it that other's don't have. Just wash your hands and relax make sure you wash your hands! Number one way to prevent the spread of virus! And try to live life to it's fullest. I know it's hard. I do it every day .
