Awwww congratulations. I left home almost 2 years ago and could never go back to living with my parents.
Today is the tomorrow I dreaded yesterday and I\'m ok.

    congratulations!!!!

i bet you guys will be really happy there. it takes a wee bit of balancing to figure out what works & budget & so forth but it all comes in time. i bet you'll like living away from home - pretty soon that will be home! & your family will still be there for you, no matter where you live =)

Violet, you'll be fine. You may be some distance away from home, but it's not so far that you couldn't pop back for a weekend if you wanted. Try and be positive about this, it's a really exciting time for you. If you feel safe and secure with your gf, then it will be fine. Also, you've faced alot of issues at home, recently and in the past, so this is a great chance for you to put some of those behind you and start a new, happy chapter in your life.

I really think this will be a real turning point for you, it will give you independence and a sense of control over your life. That should boost your self-esteem and hopefully make many of your problems start to fade. And don't worry about catching anything from the flat, you won't! Scrub the bathroom first though eh? Just to put your mind at rest!

I hope your gf will allow you to settle in first before you feel the need to get a job, little steps yeah? And anyway, I'm sure she knows how much you like to clean, bake, do the gardening etc., so there will be plenty for you to do.

Finally, you will have the internet won't you? We're not gonna lose you are we?!!

Good luck, you know I'll be looking out for you.

You say you are moving 300 miles from home, are you moving out of Scotland and coming to join us here in sunny England?????
